An edited excerpt from the book, ‘The Journey is the Goal’, by Scott Robinson
So much of what happens in life is unconscious.
I believe meditation is about raising your awareness and recognizing what is really going on in your life. If you are unconscious of an issue, it is difficult to heal it.
There’s so much in society that promotes unconsciousness and denial. Ignorance is bliss, but it is not freedom and it doesn’t work forever.
When the question, ‘Why?’ becomes bigger than the comfort of ignorance, you become more conscious.

Rebirth!… out of the ashes comes life
The cultivated and the unwanted alike
And all the while the sacred cedar
holds space for the wandering naked ape
The path is known, plain and clear
with eyes open
The brave step onto the healing path
Ready
Poised
With passion
Now eyes narrow, honed on…..the way
Slow oblivion is not acceptable
We are creators
This is true
The forces of darkness wrestle back to Light and love
Because in the end the Light always prevails……
always

The leap of change
To let go of one season and embrace another
To destroy an old way of being and create anew
To know that all is fleeting
Only Source is forever
As the ages turn we move and flow
The universe expands and contracts
Like a single heartbeat
A single heartbeat
Constant change
Nothing in any universe is motionless
Wheels of Light
Wheels of dark
In what way do you want to travel?
In this vibrant ever-changing wash of energy

An excerpt from the book, Navigation, by Scott Robinson
Always notice the supportive aspects of your life that you want to maintain. You’ve created these. They’ve arisen from what you’re doing right now and what you’ve done in the past.
But of course, it’s important to notice all of your creations, even those that aren’t supportive to the world, and validate yourself. Spiritual practice is about letting go of judgment.
You’re working on changing your reality not because it’s a bad reality, but because you choose to change. You choose to heal. You choose to have awareness.

Create peace and clarity
Right here, right now
Stabilize this place
This moment
Deep grounding
With consciousness
Every molecule burns in gold
Cleansing
Clearing
A statement of Light
Create a vessel for Source
A sacred space for all
If it cannot vibrate at this level
It cannot share this space
Energy transforms
With effortless ease
With intent
All realities are possible
Living in darkness is a choice
Living in Light is a choice as well
Different possibilities
Different lives
What do you want?

An edited excerpt from the book, ‘The Journey is the Goal’, by Scott Robinson
So much of what is happening in people’s lives is unconscious. I believe the process is all about raising awareness, and recognizing what is going on energetically and spiritually in your life. If you are unconscious of an issue, it is much more difficult to heal it, and to transcend it. Many of the big games on the planet are played simply to keep people unconscious. Ignorance is bliss, but it is not freedom, and it doesn’t last forever. When the question of “why” becomes bigger than the comfort taken from ignorance, then the spiritual journey becomes much more conscious.

Like the young morning’s light
Orange, gentle, warming
The giddy excitement of the new
Grounded in the ancient
A bright and powerful dawn
The darkness slowly bleeding away
Revealing the places longing to be filled

An excerpt from the book, Navigation, by Scott Robinson
Creating stability has been a priority in my own life. In the past I was into drama. One of the biggest changes I’ve had to make is letting it be okay to lead a simpler life.
Simple isn’t mundane. As you play with simplicity, you create more clarity.
I like to notice when I’m creating the next level of stability for myself. I can be more present for the simple things, which are often my biggest joys.
When I’m busy, I don’t have time to stop and really experience the small things. Like a raindrop hanging from a leaf. Or the scent of a rose as I walk by. Or the quality of the air at daybreak. Or the essence of light bouncing off water.
Or the pure stillness of a quiet room.

An excerpt from the book, Navigation, by Scott Robinson
On the spiritual path two things are simultaneously true: you need to heal and you’ve already arrived. This is not a paradox.
As you walk the path, you realize there are wounds to see and heal, but you can also tune into yourself as Spirit. As Spirit, life can be full and rich. You can choose for every moment to be complete, no matter what is happening around you.
The external doesn’t determine the internal. You are in charge of your reality. Joy and happiness are a choice.

Clouds give earth rain
No limits
Plants give energy
Flow
Power
Free and clear
The sun gives existence itself
Burns from within
I am humbled by this giving
Could I ever be that abundant?
Giving always with grace
Always with freedom and faith
The balance is beyond understanding
And I revel in its sure magnificence
With every breath I give thanks
For the gift of life
No strings attached

An excerpt from the book, ‘Navigation,’ by Scott Robinson
Being in balance is a spiritual choice.
We can choose sustainability. We can choose a more holistic way of living. We can choose to be in harmony with each other and the earth. We can shift our value system.
I’m not talking about reverting to a pre-industrial society. I believe in the gifts of technology. I’m just saying to use them consciously. I’m saying be aware of the addictive quality of products, and make conscious choices about how to use them.
As a spiritual warrior, aim to bring spiritual awareness to every decision. Is it of the highest integrity for all of humanity and the planet?
Choose the path of balance.

Dappled Light
Shimmering seas
Orange moon rises from behind mountain
Your creations sparkle all around me
And ripple through my body
It is all one
The dark the Light balance each other in an uncomfortable dance
But you are beyond this dichotomy
You appear as Light
But you are beyond Light
You are all things
Light and dark are simply two aspects of you
A framework for consciousness to arise
What is brighter than the brightest Light?
How do you describe the indescribable?
I know you so well
You are everything, out of nothing
You are every pine needle
You are every sunset
You flow as rivers
You lay as endless oceans
There is nothing that is not you
It is all just consciousness as creation
Creation as consciousness
I sigh, look to your sky
And breathe you in
You are me
And I am you
Both creating the one

Stability is required on your healing journey, because you challenge your reality to the core. The process of healing is a wild internal ride, so external stability is important.
A spiritual warrior always works to create maximum stability, because this brings more ease on the path. With stability you can more readily access your knowingness and have more authority in your personal space.
A spiritual warrior with a stable reality can stand solid during intense times on the journey. This is why ongoing weekly meditation classes are recommended. It stops the debate, should I or shouldn’t I work on my healing? It’s completely clear. A routine is in place, allowing you go deep with the deprogramming process.
Stability may seem boring, but this perception can stop you from focusing on your healing. There’s a reason some monks sit in quiet spaces for years on end, outwardly doing nothing. They do this so they can work on themselves inwardly. Their manifest lives are incredibly simple.

The true awareness of self
The self that shines for eternity
It is for all of us to have
It is okay if the false self sometimes threatens
It is like a child still learning where truth resides
With time and healing
There will be no need for thunderstorms
Sacred time
Sacred space
Sacred growth
They clear the clouded sky
It all comes back to the ability to have
To have this time
To have this place
To have this lightening
To have this inward journey

After summer’s growth
Comes fall’s release
Leaves returning their power
To the earth and water
Seasons roll by
Gently caressing, decaying
Rebirth
Lifetimes flow through
Buoyant in the manifest
As Spirit we are still
While time is performed around us
The subtle dance of energy
Creating a believable story
But we come briefly to this place
May we always remember
That time is just an idea
And we swim in shimmering seas
Beyond it

Walking meditation can help you access information. You can often find answers to questions you put out to the universe.
Along the walk, if you stay aware in present time, something will trigger answers. Do not let your focus be pulled away. Stay inward and stay grounded. The key is not to be actively looking. You need to let go and just notice what turns up along the way, allowing your awareness to go to whatever seems significant.
Everything in your awareness has a piece of spiritual information for you. Ask yourself how can you use this information for your healing journey.
Remember, there is no such thing as an insignificant event. There is no such thing as an accident. Everything on your path happens for a reason. The only challenge is uncovering what that reason is.

Moon cycles pulse in your heart
Stars burn in your seeing
Earth caresses your every step
Sun gives you pure power
You stand in vibrating brilliance
With truth beaming from every part of you
You lay in fields of fire
With cool soothing all around
Your love affair with Source
Fuels internal passion
Your love affair with your Soul
Creates freedom of Spirit
These are the markings of the worker of Light

An excerpt from the book, ‘Navigation,’ by Scott Robinson
It is said the pillars of the temple must stand apart in order to be strong. If there is only one pillar because two have merged, the structure will topple.
When two people are fully a couple, and honour each other’s path with no loss of personal space, the relationship is solid. It is based on individual spiritual autonomy and respect. This can happen in any kind of relationship, intimate or not.
To own your space in relationships, you need to see the other person clearly. You need to view the full picture, including their strengths and weaknesses, with neutrality, not judging them.

Feel the vibrant life all around
They embrace us with protective strength
The lush summer green
Tall graceful joy
Flowing in the softness of the afternoon
Hawk shadow glides over the seasons of nature
We make a circle of sticks
The sacred in this moment
Gentle power around, above, and below
Have it, it is here

An excerpt from the book, ‘Navigation,’ by Scott Robinson
Abundance is the ability to create something and fully have the experience of it.
It is the ability to share your reality with something – to really soak it in. It is also known as high-havingness, and it can apply to anything.
It can be as simple as noticing the heartbeats in your chest and truly savouring the experience. Whether you are asleep or going about your daily life, your heart always beats for you. It goes on, steadily and faithfully, until you are complete with manifestation this lifetime. This is abundance.
Abundance can be a glass of water. First you are aware of the liquid. Then you become deeply present with it. As you drink it, you notice its sacredness. Perhaps you even tune into the entire Universe through the experience.
Abundance is a state of being. It is a way of living, without limits. It is love, ease and relaxation. If you choose it as your set point in life, you see abundance everywhere you look.
